The first AstroTarotChannel of 2014!
So lets take a moment first to look at the numerological energy of 2014. It's a number seven. Seven's are magical numbers, this is the year to make your dreams come true. But take note of the way I said that "make your dreams come true". There was no mention of wishing on a Star. This year will also be ruled by the wooden horse. Strong, reliable, steadfast, work horse energy. Apparently Saturn also rules this year something I heard somewhere, no explanation of how they arrived to that. But interestingly Saturn is the work horse alright. Known as the hard task master and the Lord of Karma, if you keep your head down and get on with it with a whole heap of patience, persistence and determination then Saturn turns into the Lord of dreams.
So get prepared! The energies in the cosmos are really giving us the best start to the new year with a New Moon in Capricorn on New Years Day. Forget the resolutions! Just concentrate on what you really want to achieve this year. That might sound like a contradiction, but resolutions suggest pressure and failure, and concentrating on what you really want to achieve sets the right intention. The New Moon in Capricorn is the best time of the year to set practical attainable goals, work on developing maturity and common sense, long term outlook, developing self discipline and mastery, make commitments and nurture our dreams in a realistic fashion. So there is no more apt alignment than this on new years day! Plus, this moon is the first of four super moons in 2014. A super moon is when the moon comes much closer to the Earth than usual, increasing the lunar power (emotions, subconscious, intuition, dreams, magic) - AND it's not the only Super Moon this month!
On 30th January we have a second New Moon (this time in Aquarius) which is also classed as a Super Moon - although you won't see these super moon's as they are new not full. This could hold the message that it's not good to rely on outside reassurance that your dreams are coming true. The Moon is still whole- even though we don't see it, we only see a part of it. This thought, funnily enough, is one that has been in my head a lot the last few weeks. Not about the Moon as such! But all the effects we have on each other that we don't know about. The New Moon in Aquarius is a good time for solving blocks by thinking out the box and lighten up the heavy feelings of Capricorn which can feel a bit serious and oppressive, this heralds a more hopeful outlook for the month of February. We also see a willingness to open up and share more, it also heralds a time of being more sociable and getting more enjoyment of being with loved ones. The second New Moon in a month is known as a Black Moon (like the second Full Moon in a month is known as a Blue Moon), Black Moons are heralded as especially auspicious and powerful for intention setting.
In-between 1st and 30th there are also a few more movements!
On 11th Mercury enters Aquarius, which heralds a period of 20 days which can be great sharing ideas, visions and ways forward, feeling energised with new fresh perspectives and ideas, I for one, am very excited at the thought of this. I can just feel the electric energy in the air getting primed already, it's a fantastic time for following your intuition, you will know it when you have got it. If you are second thinking then you haven't got it - yet.
On 15th we have a Full Moon in Cancer, Full Moon's mark the most emotionally charged time of the month, and Cancer is ruled by t
he Moon (the most emotionally charged sign full stop!) put that together with Jupiter (the planet that exaggerates) also in Cancer and hey ho silver! This may sound rather alarmist, but what is under the spotlight here is how to love the self, if you can go into this three day period (a day either side of the Full Moon) committing to nurturing the self, and only others if you can do truly from the heart with no neediness for any return, then you really will have made the absolute best of it and come out with something amazing on the other side.
On 19th the Sun enters Aquarius, the spotlight will be on revolution! We may see this happening in our own personal world, or the world at large. People are starting to feel like they can make a difference and it is worth it! This is a big build up that has been happening for years, and the last stages were the Capricorn ones earlier this month, now it feels like people are really seeing and feeling clearly, which is fabulous! A great time to go out on a limb and do something radical!
Then we have the New Moon in Aquarius on 30th (already discussed above) and we seem to go out with a climactic bang on 31st when Jupiter opposes Pluto (should I stay or Should I go now?) Mercury enters Pisces (confusion, guilt, mind games) and Venus goes direct! Venus in Capricorn went retrograde on 21st December, heralding a month of deep evaluation about where we want to spend our time and money in both relationships and work. This feels to me like a lot of us will have got clear on what we want in our partnerships, but the real challenge is when we verbalise it, and realise that maybe our partners really aren't on the same page. We may well have already felt this was the case, but all the time we keep it in we don't have to really face it. When it's expressed we do. And what may happen is that we start to feel manipulated by the others response (mind game), and begin to feel confused and guilty, or we do this to someone else.
Stay clear, remember you didn't just go through a period of soul searching for your depth and truth just to have it watered down into a mush by someone else. The right person for you is the one who resonates with you - not the one who resonated with you in the past, or may resonate with you in the future, but the one that resonates with you right now. That doesn't mean that I am advocating the divorce of any marriages that do not resonate right now (although that may need considering), there are times we are not in resonance with our partners, yet it is still worth it. The question is, is it worth it?
If you find yourself becoming confused then just remember to ask yourself these three things
1) What is for my highest good in this situation?
2) What is for their highest good in this situation?
3) What is for the highest good of all?
You will find you should get a unanimous answer (if you are being truthful with yourself).
Wishing you a magical month ahead,
One love
