A Tear-jerker from an Epic Shamanic Pilgrimage for Love and Peace
PULA, Croatia, Oct 5 - I had dreaded the prospect of doing the Pula clearing ceremony well before we left for Europe. Because that's where my firstborn son Crispus was executed on my orders as Roman Emperor Constantine in June 326 AD.

"One down, one to go," I told myself at our Stuttgart hotel room. (Trier was also a tough, tearful ceremony. Another execution).

I had butterflies in my stomach the morning we left on a 550-mile odyssey to Pula, Croatia. They stayed with me most of the day.

That's also how I felt in the last few days here in Maui as I faced the prospect of making the movie about the experience and writing this story. Unsettled, feeling raw inside, wondering if I would have to go through the same cathartic emotions again. Yet at the same time I was looking forward to it, anxious to finish it, to finally release all those negative energies that had been pent up inside my heart for almost 1,700 years.

This story, and the film you are about to see have done it for me. As I am posting them at my web site, I am also blowing out all any residual emotions that may have remained after our European pilgrimage (blowing right into the computer screen). From this day forward, as far as I am concerned, Fausta and I and Crispus and I have settled our scores. I can now close the book on that Greek Tragedy encore.

But not without tears, even today, on the last day of the process. Well, now it's over... They say, "a picture is worth a thousand words." Here is now "a thousand picture"-film and a short story to set it up...
