FOLLOWING THE FAINT FOOTSTEPS OF ANGELS Part 3
IN THE EPIC OF GILGAMESH, written around 2,100 BC, we read of ‘a sacred forest of Cedar trees’ where the gods dwelt and where their “sky port” was guarded on their behalf by a fearsome ogre named Humbaba. According to those ancient Sumerian texts, Sumer, (now Iraq) ‘the land of civilized kings who came from the sky’, flourished around 4500 BC. The elite at that time having created an advanced civilization with their own system of language and writing, architects, astronomers and mathematicians. Their complex religious system comprised of many gods.
In Genesis 6:2, you will recall, “the sons of God (the Lord) saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose” which tends to spark the imagination. According to historical accounts, these magnificent men possessed beautiful bodies and countenance and exuded an extremely powerful presence. What woman would (or could) say “No, thank you,” to them? (The Book of Enoch also contains valuable information on the Shining Ones.)
The Babylonians left records of how they earnestly believed the purpose of the human race was to be of ‘service to the gods’. They describe weapons resembling the atomic bomb stating that when the leader at that time saw what was happening in the world and how debased so many were becoming, together with the knowledge of the impending deluge, he and other gods took off like a rocket, in their rockets, but not all of them. Given their longevity, are they still out there somewhere?
Intriguing texts also tell us of something mysterious: that a god was sacrificed, his blood to be mixed with the mortals they were genetically engineering. Genetic manipulation is something we have only recently become aware of as possible. Quoting from the ancient texts, we find…
“In the clay, god and man shall be bound. To a unity brought together so that to the end of days, the flesh and the soul which in a god have ripened (through all those years), that soul in a blood kinship (will) be bound.”
What are we dealing with here in this message from the past? Something in the blood of the god that was the repository of his individuality – his genetic code? The purposeful mixing of this divine element together with our earthly element, spelled out for us through time.
Were they suggesting we would for all time be connected and reverberate with those of our bloodline? It would seem so. Those of us who have really loved - rather than lusted - are aware of a mysterious telepathy occasionally possible. It is a merging with another soul, a longing for the other’s company; deep feelings of love. It cannot be fabricated, nor can it be bought. We miss them when they are not with us; experiencing a sense of loss when they are gone. We reverberate with them, as in quantum physics. (Quantum entanglement: how two objects previously joined together remain intimately entwined/connected - no matter how far apart they may be - they respond.) Sensitised, we can link up mentally, transfer information telepathically, sending thoughts of love and support. Nor does the connection stop if we part. Love may be tenuous, yet affinity remains, quietly smouldering deep within our being/soul, ready to be awakened should a suitable opportunity present itself.
