Elemental Fae.
Today, I saw the strangest thing that I have ever seen.
It happened when I wandered in the woodlands near my home.
I found an archway through the trees that lead out to a sunny green,
Where lavenders and honeysuckle graced the sweetest little garden,
Nestled, like an everlasting summer, in a sea of evergreens.
I stood amazed.
From winters fading grip,
I was transported to a sunny summers day.
And. there above the sombre trees,
I watched a hundred thousand tiny faeries at their play.
Tiny orbs of flickering light, that danced and fluttered with delight,
Their beauty and their gaiety, just took my breath away.
If I should live a hundred years,- I'll not forget this magical display,
When elemental faeries woke,
and blossoms burst upon a world, that had been cold and grey.
